If you are a bride who is planning your wedding with a small budget and looking for an affordable yet stunning gown for your big day, there is good news. Today, there are many stores that sell beautiful dresses for all occasions, so you can find the perfect dress wherever dresses are sold. You can start your search at a bridal boutique but department stores such as Macy’s or Nordstrom sell lovely dresses during the Christmas, Easter and prom season too. I’ve always seen beautiful dresses on sale at Debs or Ross that would look amazing on a bride, so be sure to browse the stores at your local mall.
Thrift shops such as Good Will and Salvation Army stores are always worth investigating because you really don’t know where you will find “the dress.” I know a bride who bought a David’s Bridal gown, worth $300, for only $20 at a yard sale in her town. It still had its original tags and it was exactly what she wanted for her special day.
When I got married, I wore a lovely, white dress that I bought at a Kohl’s Department Store for only $10! It was perfect for the private ceremony we had and would you believe that the original price was $99? My husband loved it and it’s still as fashionable today as the day I bought it.
The internet is a budget bride’s best friend. When searching online for your dress, your first stop should be at www.DavidsBridal.com but www.CamilleLaVie.com always have such beautiful gowns on sale for less than $300. The princess dress you see above was on sale for only $299.98!
You can also find brand new or gently used gowns for a mere fraction of the retail price on Ebay, ShopGoodwill, Once Wed, Encore Bridal, Oodle and Craigslist.
So, while searching for the gown of your dreams, keep in mind the places you would shop for an evening gown or something nice to wear to church because chances are they sell lovely, white, affordable dresses too and one may be perfect for you!

I thought I was pretty clever when I bought my wedding dress at Dillard’s! I took a weekend to think about the purchase, and when I returned, I found it on sale! A $200 gown for $60! Shhh, don’t tell anyone! BTW, the dress featured here is quite a stunner! LOVE IT! And what a price!
